TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Last updated August 18, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Apna Mandir mobile application and related websites, pages, and services (together, the “App” or “Services”). The App is operated by the operator of Apna Mandir (“Apna Mandir,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By downloading, installing, registering for, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Account Deletion page, which are part of how we handle your information and account.
1. Who we are and what Apna Mandir is
Apna Mandir is a digital platform. Through the App you may, depending on what we make available at any time:
- view live or recorded darshan and related temple or deity media;
- offer chadava (offerings) to be arranged in connection with a mandir;
- book puja, seva, or similar ritual services;
- receive updates, proof, or video related to an offering you paid for, where we provide that feature;
- create an account, manage profile details, and view order history.
Apna Mandir is not the physical temple, trust, or shrine itself. We are not a priest, pandit, or religious authority. When you pay for an offering, you are requesting that we (or people we work with) arrange that offering according to the description in the App. We do not promise any spiritual result, blessing, miracle, or specific religious outcome.
2. Definitions
In these Terms:
- “you” and “user” mean the person who uses the App;
- “offering” means a chadava item, puja, seva, or other paid ritual or donation-style service listed in the App;
- “order” means a request you submit and pay for through the App;
- “payment provider” means Razorpay (typically for Indian rupees) or Stripe (typically for US dollars), or another processor we show at checkout;
- “content” means text, images, audio, video, livestreams, and other material in the App.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your place of residence, if higher) to create an account or make a payment. By using the Services you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
If you use the App on behalf of someone else (for example, you pay for a puja in a family member’s name), you confirm that you are allowed to do so and that the information you submit is accurate.
4. Changes to the App and to these Terms
We may add, change, or remove features, temples, catalogs, prices, livestreams, or markets at any time. The App may be unavailable during maintenance or because of network, temple, or third-party failures.
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. The updated Terms apply when they are posted, unless a later date is stated. If you continue to use the App after an update, you accept the new Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the App and you may request account deletion as described in Section 19.
5. Accounts, phone numbers, and security
You may need an account to use some features. We typically verify you with a phone number (and related one-time codes). You agree to:
- provide accurate, current information (including name, phone number, and any email or address we ask for at checkout or in your profile);
- keep your device and verification codes secure;
- not share your account or create an account for another person without permission;
- tell us at support@apna-mandir.com if you believe your account was used without your permission.
We may refuse, suspend, or close an account if we reasonably believe information is false, a payment is fraudulent, or these Terms were broken. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account, except where we caused the problem through our own error.
6. Markets, language, and availability
The App may show different currencies, catalogs, and payment methods depending on the market associated with your account (for example, India / INR with Razorpay, or the United States / USD with Stripe). Availability of a temple, item, slot, livestream, or price in one market does not mean it is available in another.
Content may appear in English, Hindi, or other languages. If there is a conflict between a translation and the English version of these Terms, the English version on this page controls.
7. Offerings, bookings, and fulfillment
7.1 What you are buying
When you place an order, you are paying for us to arrange the offering described on the item or package page (and in your cart/checkout), on or around the service date or window we show, if any. Catalog photos, names, and descriptions are for identification. Actual flowers, items, timing, and ritual form may vary with season, temple practice, stock, and the people performing the work.
7.2 Sankalp and details you provide
If we ask for names, gotra, nakshatra, address, or a sankalp (intention), you are responsible for spelling and completeness. We and anyone performing the ritual may use those details solely to fulfill your order. We are not responsible for a ritual performed with the details you submitted if those details were wrong.
7.3 Scheduling and slots
Some offerings are tied to a date, muhurat, or capacity limit. We may decline or reschedule an order if a slot is full, the temple is closed, a festival calendar changes, or fulfillment becomes impractical. If we cannot fulfill an order that you have already paid for, Section 9 (refunds) applies.
7.4 Proof and videos
Where the App promises photo or video proof, we will make reasonable efforts to provide it after the offering is done. Proof may be delayed, shortened, or omitted if the temple, network, or person recording cannot capture it. Lack of a perfect recording does not by itself mean the offering was not arranged, but you may contact support and we will look into it.
7.5 No guarantee of religious efficacy
Puja, chadava, and darshan are matters of faith. We do not warrant that an offering will achieve any purpose you have in mind (health, wealth, marriage, exams, or otherwise). Payment is for the arrangement of the described service, not for a result.
8. Fees, taxes, and payment
Prices are shown in the App at checkout in the currency of your market (for example ₹ or US$). Unless we say otherwise, the amount you confirm is the amount you authorize us (through the payment provider) to charge.
You must provide a valid payment method. You authorize the payment provider to charge that method for the order total. Payment is processed by Razorpay, Stripe, or another provider named at checkout, not by Apple or Google as in-app purchase unless we clearly state otherwise. Their terms and fraud checks also apply. A payment that is declined, flagged, reversed, or left incomplete does not create a fulfilled order.
Taxes, foreign-exchange differences, bank fees, or payment-provider fees charged by your bank or card network are your responsibility unless the law requires otherwise. We may include tax in the displayed price or show it separately where we are required to.
We do not store full card numbers in the App. Card and UPI data is handled by the payment provider.
9. Refunds, cancellations, and chargebacks
The App does not provide a self-serve “refund” button. If you want a refund or need to change an order, email support@apna-mandir.com with your account phone number, order details, and the reason.
Our usual approach (unless a law or the payment provider requires more):
- Before fulfillment: if the offering has not yet been performed and we have not provided proof, we will consider a full refund of the amount captured for that order, or a reschedule, at our discretion acting reasonably;
- After fulfillment: once the offering has been arranged or performed (including where proof exists), we generally do not refund, except where required by law or by Razorpay/Stripe rules, or where we failed to provide the service described;
- Our error or inability to fulfill: if we cannot arrange the offering, we will refund the captured amount for that order or offer a reasonable alternative;
- Duplicate or failed charges: contact support; we will investigate with the payment provider;
- Partial refunds: we do not routinely split a cart into partial refunds. If a partial situation arises, we handle it case by case.
Approved refunds are issued through the original payment method. Bank and provider timelines are outside our control (often several business days). A chargeback or dispute filed with your bank without first writing to us may delay investigation; we may share order and fulfillment records with the payment provider to respond.
10. Live darshan, media, and interruptions
Livestreams, YouTube feeds, recorded clips, and in-App ritual animations are provided as available. Picture quality, camera angle, audio, overlays, and whether a stream is “live” depend on the temple, the camera, YouTube or other hosts, and your network. Streams may freeze, lag, be delayed, be replaced by a recording, or stop without notice (festivals, weather, power, takedown, or rights issues).
Darshan in the App is a digital viewing experience. It is not a substitute for visiting a temple in person, and it does not create any right to temple premises, prasadam, or physical access.
11. User content
You keep whatever rights you have in names, messages, sankalp text, and other information you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that information as needed to operate the Services, fulfill orders, show you proof, prevent fraud, and comply with law. You must not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or misleading.
We may refuse or remove user-submitted text that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the App for any unlawful purpose, or to launder money or commit fraud;
- attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the App, APIs, or payment flows;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services except with our written permission;
- impersonate Apna Mandir, a temple, a pandit, or another user;
- abuse upload links, proof videos, or admin/pandit tools if you receive them;
- resell offerings, scrape catalogs for competing services, or use the App to spam;
- upload malware or attempt to bypass authentication or market/currency restrictions.
We may suspend access immediately if we believe this section was violated.
13. Third-party services
The Services depend on other companies, including payment providers (Razorpay, Stripe), hosting and data (for example cloud databases and our API host), analytics or crash tools we may use, Firebase or similar for phone verification, YouTube or other video hosts for live darshan, and app stores (Apple, Google). Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, account bans, or payment declines caused by them, except to the extent the law does not allow us to exclude that responsibility.
Links in the App (including this website) may lead to third-party sites. We do not control them.
14. Intellectual property
The App, its design, logos, copy, software, and original artwork are owned by us or our licensors. Temple, deity, and third-party images or streams may be owned by the temple, a photographer, YouTube, or another rights holder. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use in line with these Terms. You may not copy, frame, redistribute, or commercially exploit our content or catalogs without permission.
“Apna Mandir” and related marks are used as the name of the App. These Terms do not give you any ownership in our names or branding.
15. Privacy
How we collect and use personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the App you acknowledge that policy. Payments are handled as described there and by the payment provider.
16. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DARSHAN WILL BE LIVE AT ANY PARTICULAR TIME, OR THAT OFFERINGS WILL BE PERFORMED AT AN EXACT MINUTE OR IN A PARTICULAR CAMERA VIEW OF THE SANCTUM.
We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except where a jurisdiction does not allow those disclaimers. Some places give you non-waivable consumer rights; these Terms do not take away rights that the law says you cannot give up.
17. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APNA MANDIR AND ITS OPERATORS, OFFICERS, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR ANY OFFERING, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THAT SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR AN ORDER IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SPECIFIC ORDER GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) US$50 (OR THE EQUIVALENT IN YOUR CHECKOUT CURRENCY).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where such a rule applies).
18. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Apna Mandir and its operators from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising out of: (a) your misuse of the App; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) content or sankalp details you submit; or (d) your violation of law or of a third party’s rights. We will try to notify you of a claim we become aware of, where contact details exist.
19. Suspension, closing your account, and deletion
You may stop using the App at any time. To delete your account, follow the instructions on our Account Deletion page or email support@apna-mandir.com. We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. Order and payment records may be kept where accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, or other law requires, as described on that page and in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we shut down the Services. If we permanently discontinue the App, we will not charge you for new orders after shutdown; pending paid-but-unfulfilled orders will be refunded or fulfilled as we reasonably can.
Sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law) survive termination.
20. Apple and Google app stores
If you download the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to the applicable store terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. To the extent an offering is paid inside the App through Razorpay or Stripe, that purchase is a contract between you and us (and the payment provider), not an Apple or Google in-app purchase, unless the App expressly uses store billing for that item.
For US users of iOS: you and we acknowledge that Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms as they relate to your use of the iOS app, and Apple may enforce those provisions against you. That does not make Apple responsible for our offerings or refunds.
21. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that if you are a consumer living in a place that requires the laws of that place to apply to you, those mandatory rules still apply to the extent required.
Before filing a claim, you agree to email support@apna-mandir.com with a short description of the dispute and to allow 30 days for us to try to resolve it. If we cannot resolve it, either party may pursue relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. You may also have a right to use a consumer forum or payment-provider dispute process.
22. General
If a court finds a part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, sale, or operation of the App. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services and replace prior oral or written terms about the same subject (except the Privacy Policy and any specific order confirmation). Headings are for convenience only. “Including” means “including without limitation.”
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control (including temple closures, strikes, epidemics, government action, floods, fire, war, or widespread internet or payment-network failure).
23. Contact
